Personal commitment towards our environment

We, the Swiss creators and owners of the small boutique hotel, are proud in giving a personal statement regarding our responsibility for a sustainable use of natural resources.

The wastewater system on the property has been split into a drain system for wastewater and one for recyclable grey-water. We are still the only property in the area of the "La Poza" lagoon which is connected to the communal wastewater treatment plant.

Being connected to the city of Todos Santos' water system, we use a special filter systems to produce purified water in order to buy less bottled water which has to be transported long distances.

The saltwater swimming pool and the saltwater jacuzzi have a special filter system and work without chlorine or other chemicals. An absolute minimum of insecticides and pesticides are being used in the gardens.Organic products are being applied instead.

Waste such as glass, plastic, pet, metals, batteries, paper and carton are being separated and recycled. This has become possible thanks to an opportunity offered by a young entrepreneur who is being supported by us for this project. Recycling in Mexico is still a difficult task and it is only at its beginning.

Our buildings have been built and insulated with the best materials available on the market at the time of construction. Insulation had a high priority in order to limit the consumption of electricity and gas to the best possible extent.

In our kitchen we use local products whenever available and in good quality. The local organic farmers offer great opportunities and the waters around us still full of marvelous fish and seafood, naturally grown and fresh. Needless to say that we do not import any fish. Wine is also "local only". We are specialized in Mexican wines and the only wine imported is champagne.
Animals: we could not finish our commitment without mentioning all the animals. As dog lovers, we support two groups of people who take care of animals which are found on the street or sometimes in the waste. Apart from food, we also provide medical care for these creatures.
